Failed to Connect to SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
A moment ago, I was contacted by my friend. He faced a problem when connecting application (desktop app) to SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. Here the error message : Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to a failure in starting the process for the user instance. The connection will be closed After googling it, i got solution here . The solution was simple, just delete or rename (recommended) Ms. SQL Server Data's directory in C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Data. After that, try connect the application with the database again and everything should work like a charm.
